Sony officially dubbed their *cough* innovative PlayStation 3 conroller Sixaxis today — a name many had already known anyway. But really, who cares what you call it, right? Here’s how I imagine it will go down in a typical living room:
“Hey dude, pass me the Sixaxis.”
“The what?”
“Sixaxis man, pass me the Sixaxis.”
“Oh, you mean the f’ing controller?”
“YES, PASS ME THE DAMN CONTROLLER!”
“Why didn’t you say so … idiot.”
In even more Sixaxis news, it was revealed that an extra controller will cost Japanese gamers 5,000 yen (about $42 in the U.S.). In other PS3 news, Sony is selling a memory card adapter used to upload data from PS or PS2 memory cards to the PS3 hard drive that will cost 1500 yen ($13). A Blu-ray/DVD movie controller will run you 3600 yen ($31).
